The Lint Remover Challenge continues!…

Continuing on from our Challenge last week (The Lint Remover Challenge), here are some more uses for the Mighty Lint Remover – keep sending in your tips and uses so we can pass them on to other customers!

>> It doesn’t need to be restricted to the house for cleaning fabrics/upholstery… people spend so long cleaning their house that the car becomes neglected, partly because hoovering it seems like too onerous a task! Lint Rollers are ideal for picking up the debris, dust and hairs from the seats and foot well.

>>Staying in the car, use it on the dashboard and glove box too – you don’t need to restrict it to the handle, wrap some paper around your hand to get to the ‘impossible to get to’ areas. I do exactly this when cleaning my son’s high chair!

>>In the same way as cleaning mud dropped from wellies when going out, it’s great at cleaning the area where shoes are stored

>>Great at removing very small particles – it’s especially useful when you have dropped something that can be dangerous to pets and small children especially – such as glass. Notoriously difficult to clean up because of the tiny particles that you obviously can’t see… if you use your lint roller over the floor it will pick up the really small pieces that you don’t even notice are there

>>Having a good clean out of your cupboards and drawers? The trick of tearing off some of the paper and using it wrapped around your fingers to get into the edges and corners works wonders here… leaving your drawers brilliantly clean and ready for your nicely ordered items!

>>In a similar fashion use it to clean your handbag and purse – one of the most therapeutic tasks for some women is emptying and tidying out their bags… well now you can get it nice and clean before refilling!

Keep the tips coming! More to follow soon….

The Lint Remover Challenge!

There are many, many uses to the hard working Lint Remover, but our customers often tell us stories about how they have found multi uses for many of our products themselves… how resourceful you all are!

Carpet CleanerWe would love to hear your own stories of how you make use of your lint remover, whether a Regular/Trident Handled Pet Hair Remover, Mini Pocket Sized Roller Brush or Carpet Cleaner… we are always interested to hear your tips too and that way other customers can benefit from your wisdom! So we challenge you to tell us a use for the Mighty Lint Remover that we haven’t heard yet! But in the meantime here are just a few uses to get you on your way…Pet Hair Roller Brush

  • You don’t really need to be told this one! But just to clarify Pet Hair Rollers are brilliant at removing your pet's hair (and your own hair) from clothes. The super sticky paper quickly removes any hairs or other debris from your clothing that you often only see in daylight, which is inevitably when rushing out of the door!

  • Make it one of the steps you follow when doing your washing/drying. I have certain clothes which are particularly prone to picking up fluff once they have come out of the wash, so I quickly roll over such clothing when dry but before folding... that way they look like new BEFORE I want to wear them!

  • Most people find it hard to make time to hoover each day – and who wants to?!... but there are many people like myself that have young children and a dog (or equally bad a cat!) who find they do some cleaning one day and by the following day the carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a week! Obviously with little time to clean again, this is where my Pet Hair Roller really shows its worth… great for use in between hoovering.

  • I’ve been using it recently to clean up bits of mud left on the floor when I take my shoes and wellies off – and when I put them on especially, because it’s then the dried on mud drops to the floor. Not really being in the position to get the hoover out (I’m usually rushing out with my dog), I give the area a quick once over with the roller so I don’t have to deal with it when I get back!

  • The same applies to the boot of the car – once you’ve had various packages, shopping, dirty push chair, shoes for walks and so on in there it starts to look pretty bad, but a Lint Roller will soon get rid of the debris ready for the next round! (Especially useful here when wrapped around your fingers to get into all the grooves and sides on the upholstery.)

Keep an eye out for more Lint Roller tips, and don’t forget to tell us yours!

Love your caravan? Find out how to get more space, keep it clean and love it more!

If you own a caravan or motorhome no doubt you may be considering going along to the Manchester Central Caravan & Motorhome Show from Thursday 21st - Sunday 24th of January to kick-start your 2010 adventures. It offers an amazing selection of touring caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes and many great activities suitable for the home family. For every new caravan or motorhome owner (and indeed even for the most experienced owner) it can be challenging making the best use of the space available and keeping everything clean. Problems of transporting and storing clothes can all be solved with the right products.

Space Saving Hanging BarTo make the most use of your wardrobe space you should make sure you take a Space Saving Hanger Bar - you can hang six hangers from it either vertically, which is the way it is mostly used for shirts or trousers, or horizontally to hang six pairs of trousers or shirts. Also really useful are Hotel Security Hangers… often clothes fall off the rail with ordinary hangers but using this type of hanger holds them securely in place – see testimonial from the Caraselle Direct site below for more information:Hotel Security Hanger

"Some time ago there was an article in the Club Magazine, about Hotel Type Coat Hangers, which a member had used, and so avoided the problem, so often encounted, where the hangers have bounced off the rail of the wardrobe, and all the clothes are on the bottom of the wardrobe, when you arrive at your destination. I thought this was a brilliant idea, but have had difficulty in tracing this type of hanger. I have now discovered www.caraselledirect.com who sell these hangers, as well as a large number of other items for caravanners. They do wooden or plastic hangers, and metal or plastic hooks. The advantage of the plastic hook is that they can be fitted without removing the hanging rail. Incidentally I have bought a second set of rings, so that the hangers can be taken straight from the House Wardrobe to the caravan."

Mini Roller BrushKeeping a small space clean is essential especially when travelling – roller brushes are ideal for keeping clothing, seats & upholstery clean (fantastic if travelling with pets and to keep your clothes pet hair free!) Mini Pocket Sized Roller Brushes are ideal for travel and can even fit into your handbag – refills are available. A hand-held carpet cleaner is incredibly effective at removing hairs and dust from rugs or carpets and being so small means you don’t need to worry about losing much space! You should also consider a Mini-Sweeper for sweeping tablecloths and carpets, stylish and effective, this sweeper is long lasting, sweeping crumbs from tablecloths and all surfaces.

Keep an eye out for our next article about how to best make use of limited storage space and keeping the moths at bay!
